Mark J. Conway was born and educated in Dunmore, Pennsylvania and admitted to practice law as a member of the Pennsylvania Bar in 1990. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in 1986 from the University of Scranton with Honors (Accounting). He obtained his Juris Doctorate from Temple University School of Law in 1990 and has been practicing as an attorney since 1990. Attorney Conway started his law career in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and in 1993 moved, with his family, back home to Scranton, Pennsylvania.
While in law school in 1989, Attorney Conway also successfully completed all requirements to become a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
After practicing with a large Philadelphia based firm, Attorney Conway founded the Law Offices of Mark J. Conway, P.C. in 1999 in order to provide personal attention to needs of its clients. The office is engaged in a diverse general practice with an emphasis on commercial and business matters including debtor/creditor rights, estate planning and probate, bankruptcy, commercial litigation, real estate, title insurance and closings, zoning and planning, incorporating new businesses and commercial disputes.
In addition to representing thousands of businesses and individuals in bankruptcy proceedings, since 1993, Attorney Conway has been a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Panel Trustee for the United States Middle District of Pennsylvania, appointed by the Office of the United States Trustee. As a Chapter 7 Trustee, Attorney Conway has administered thousands of Chapter 7 cases. In addition to the above, Attorney Conway has acted as a Zoning Hearing Board Solicitor and Solicitor for local planning commissions. He has also been a Solicitor for the Borough of Dunmore from 2000-2004.
Attorney Conway was the Lackawanna County Bar Association’s Treasurer from 2007 through 2014.
